Updates June 22, 2020 (updates from Eric):

June 22, 2022Wow, someone requested dark blue instead of beige for their arm!

June 20, 2022:  New slip, same marina and the rainy season this year has been going like the Energizer Bunny! Bridges out with flooding and some  landslides. We have some people we need to connect with for prosthetics but things are cut off to several areas!

Note from office:   Eric sent me some photos of the landslides and they are enormous! Makes California landslides look small in comparison.   The worst, I believe, has damaged their main 4-lane highway that goes between two of Guatemala's largest cities, yet people still try to drive around these humongous sink holes! They've given up pouring cement into it as it seems to be a bottomless hole.

We are in talks with Rita about doing some more home repairs as this time of year is when people are finding out just how badly their roofs leak.  We'll keep you posted in case some of you want to financially contribute towards future home repairs as I'm sure there will be some coming up.  Ya'll have been wonderful in coming to the aid of these people!  God bless you!!

Update June 10, 2022: (update from Eric):

A special day as we delivered two arms and a utensil holder to Oscar! This is what makes all the effort worthwhile. It's amazing what a bit of plastic and some technology can do to change a life. Thank you God for giving us the ability to help others.

Update June 6, 2022 (updates from Eric):

June 6:  Monica with one of Oscar's arms which she did most of the build on...

June 3:

This really makes our hearts glad! One of our previous recipients sent us a message to tell us how much her arm is helping her. She is using it to cook and keep house. She had told us she wasn't sure she'd be comfortable using it outside her home in her village though.

She tells us she now used it at her church while singing! A big step for her. She is very glad she decided to get her arm. May she continue to expand her abilities and see improvements as she improves her skills with it! We hope she can get the surgeons to address her other hand as well to make her life even better!

Update June 2, 2022 (update from Eric):

We had the home dedication this morning (June 1, 2022). A wonderful occasion. Smiles, thankfulness, laughter and tears. This will mean so much for this family with two special needs kids! The grandfather said he woke up this morning confused at where he was until he remembered that they had this wonderful new home. Thank you God that you use us to bless these people. Thanks to the crew and contractors for all their work and to Rita Rabre de Pinto who never seems to slow down!
