Update January 11, 2022: (updates from Eric):
From December 31, 2021:
Well, here it comes. Another new year! This last year certainly had a lot of surprises, ups, downs and course changes. Yet God is still sovereign and we still sail the course he lays out for us! We have been blessed with helping a lot of people this year and hope to help many, many more this next year. We are rearranging things onboard here to fit in more capacity and expanding our abilities of our new work. Retirement is looking to be very busy indeed!
From January 4, 2022:
Our favorite days when we can deliver to a recipient! Dionisio lost his hand in an industrial accident a year and a half ago. Rita saw him in the parking lot in front of her office and went out to meet him and tell him about our program. He lives all the way across the country on the west coast but was driving through. No random happenings with God!
Today we were all very happy to give him a lower arm! He really took to it quickly and said he wants to practice with it until it becomes just a natural part of him. With a few adjustments he did finally get to drink from that glass! This is the best part of our work!
From January 6, 2022:
Today
we delivered a lower arm to Edgar. He was so very happy! He hopes he
will now be able to get better at his job as a gardener or maybe even a
better job! Going to get him a utensil holder next week as well. He said
he never imagined he could have something like this. He's working out
how to use it to
help hold tools and nails! This is what this is about,
changing lives!
